The rain does not end...
The entire country is nearly flooded! And we picked a bad weekend for travelling...
So last friday we decided to go to london and then saturday - monday we would hang out in the Beatles home town of Liverpool. The usually one hour trip to london was severly delayed...it ended up taking us over 8 hours to get to our hostel in london..trains were delayed and cancelled while we were one them as well as once we got into london the underground was nearly all closed due to flooding..it was madness. We made it to our hostel to find out that it actually wasnt the right one we were supposed to be going to! yeah not so good..they messed up with giving us directions. But we finally made it later that night. We found a bookstore and reserved harry potter went to the movie theatre next door which was playing really old movies well movies that are already out of the theatre in america. and we saw oceans 13 to pass the time. Then we got Harry Potter! woohoo..
The hostel was miserable we slept in our clothes because it was too much of a hassle to rummage through our stuff when we would be leaving there in 5 hours anyways. Saturday morning we head to liverpool we were actually lucky and the trip by train to liverpool only took us 3 hours!..When we got there it was raining and would continue to do so the entire weekend. But that didnt stop us! On saturday we went to the Beatles Story which basically showed the history of the beatles, with original and recreations of the yellow submarine, the cavern, mathew street, John & yoko's white room, the plane they flew on to america, and so much more. The next day we went on the magical mystery tour and visited all the Beatles' old houses and sites that were relevant to their lives and lyrics. That was a ton of fun and we would have never been able to see any of it on our own because of the rain..
Here are some of the pics!

so..
Pictures are up from amsterdam and i will update this blog once i am done with my 3000 word paper..byebye
ok so yeah i finished my paper a really long time ago but got too busy with other stuff to write..but no worries im back for a bit..well a couple days haha..
so who would have thought we would have ended up at the police station in amsterdam..it wasnt too fun..oh before you start thinking what i know you must be thinking, we were there to report a crime. we got robbed by the people at the heineken experience. We checked our bags so we didnt have to hold them through the museum and stupidly didnt think to take our money with us..and the staff at the establishment stole our money total between two of us over 200 dollars.. i was luckier that my friend i only lost 40-50 euros and she 90. That was definately not so much fun.
Overall we enjoyed the trip. Amsterdam was a bit disappointing, it nearly was only sex shops, coffee shops, or food. It got old fast basically. I mean we did do the whole space cakes and coffeeshop thing..
..we kind of thought we were missing something else. The city with the canals was beautiful the rain didnt make for a nice strolling enviroment. I definately enjoyed being able to visit Anne Frank's house which is now a museum, that was amazing. The van gogh museum was pretty awesome too we saw another one of the sunflower paintings which was different from the one we had seen in London.
We took a canal city cruise and it was wonderful to see the city that way. The houses and buildings are nearly all crooked and some leaning on eachother. It is realy cool as you can see from my pictures..
Everyone there owns and rides a bike to get around. There is even a bike parking lot which holds thousands upon thousands of bikes.
while getting robbed at the heineken experience wasnt so cool..the place really was awesome..they had this one room in which you could pretend you were a dj and control the music and lights in the room and videos on the screen..
And last but not least, the food was great! we found this amazing falafel place which we ate at twice because it was so good! On sunday in the rain we found this pancake house which was absolutely amazing. It was adorable you had to walk upstairs to get to the room and there were 3 tables and a mini kitchen in the open. These two guys sitting at one seated us and they cooked our food..it was so handmade and i ordered apple juice and it was fresh! like freshly squeezed apple juice it was crazy. of course we went there for their danish pancakes which are a bit thicker than crepes with a bit of a different taste. I ordered a banana and chocolate pancake and this is what i got...

All about Paris & Brussels
this blog is not complete to check back later for more updates and videos!!
Im finally back at school again after a long weekend traveling about paris and brussels..i did soo much this weekend i don't even know where to start..
thursday-Paris:
So we entered france knowing one word of french but we somehow managed to make it to make it to our hotel/hostel haha..that was an experience..our room was in the attic with a window for air conditioning a bed to share..it was depressing..but it didnt matter much because we didnt spend much time there apart from sleeping and mid afternoon naps..thursday night we went to see Damien Rice at L'Olympia theatre in Paris..which was the best concert i have ever seen..the sound was absolutely amazing in there unlike any other venue i have been to!
Friday-Paris:
We were tourists visiting all the magnificent places, Notre-Dame, the Louvre, the Eiffel tower, and more (see pictures) haha..and while we were walking we saw a crowd of people and of course out of curiosity we had to find out what was going on. after finding an english speaker we learned that we were outside of Eva Longoria and Tony Park's wedding!! we didn't see much so we left and moved on to our next destination. When we were coming back from the Eiffel tower that night our metro ended before our stop so we didnt know where we were. so while looking at a map to try to figure out where to go some french guy came up to me and said something in french i didnt understand and told him i didnt understand and went back to looking at the map and then he tried to kiss me! ahhhh.....i starting swatting my arms around and he left and then so did we..while walking on the street we saw him again and he walked by an touched my hair...it was disturbing and we pretty much ran back to our hotel...good times kind of...
Saturday-Paris:
We went to Jim Morrison's Grave and walked around different parts of the city for hours! The food was so much better than england you have no idea! pastries, crepes, paninis, baguettes, and the best dessert we have ever had!!
Sunday-Brussels:
Getting to brussels wasnt too fun but we managed. once we got there we realized it was a sunday and not much is open on sundays in europe and also we had no idea what to do or where to go in brussels. we found a map and just hopped on the metro hoping to find something..we failed the first time but after a bit of wandering we found this cafe which served amazing combinations of pita sandwiches..i had a pineapple, apple, corn, salad, cheese pita which despite the odd combo was delicious...and not too soon after eating at the cafe did we discover the heaven that is belgian chocolate (free samples in every place..)..after buying samples from 4 different chocolate shops we found the waffles...haha..yes thats right real original belgium waffles hot off of the grill. they were probably one of the most amazing things i have ever ate in my entire life! And they smelt so amazing too..
mmm..chocolate euros!
and of course the waffles!
brussels was really beautiful and i wish i had more time to soak it all in..

Back at school
I had an amazing time in london this weekend and I am back at school. I came back in one piece but im super sick now, i blame it on the rain! but im sure the late nights haven't helped much.
London was amazing! the only downside was finding a meal for under $10-12 was almost impossible with a beer in a pub being around 6 or 7 dollars. I had english beer for the first time, it was weird though because its not cold! they serve it at room temp.
so i posted the pictures from london and they are on the link on the left called pictures from my trips!
Places i visited:
Buckingham palace, Abbey Road, Westminster Abbey, National Gallery of Art, The london Eye, Thames River, Harrods, Big Ben & Houses of Parliament
some touristy must haves:
Abbey Road (we failed this time but on other cameras its better..i even took off my shoes like paul!)
A phone booth outside of Westminster Abbey..what a combo
and in honor of Harry Potter we visited King's Cross Station to get to Platform 9 and 3/4
Look at the rest of the pictures! some of them turned out really pretty haha...
Ok so here is the deal on the terrorist threats here...The security alert is at its highest so I am being careful and will keep everyone updated as best as i can as to what is going on here...so far the attack at scotlands glasgow airport has only been assumed connected to the car bombs found in london on friday, but from all the press conferences i have watched it looks like they have a few definate things connecting the two. It is a bit scary over here and everyone is starting to freak eachother out by worrying so much. hopefully everything will calm down soon and there will be no more attacks.
Alright well i better get to bed!
Goodnight!
